Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals)
Line of Events
Follow Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. The same location was also used to represent Trenwith House in the BBC’s 2015 TV adaptation of Poldark.
5 minutes into the first episode I was hooked
When I first saw Rivals coming out I squealed with excitement. I was nervous too ~ I was a fan of the books.
The clothes, the make-up, the music ~ what a soundtrack
Each episode is fast paced, there is no chance of getting bored or feeling like it has been stretched out, as is often the case with many of these mini-series. The characters are all so unique and well played, the acting and casting are fabulous.
This show is fun, bold, colorful and nostalgic
I understand the disappointment of changing Rupert’s “look” but it’s really not a big deal, or has any lasting impact in my opinion. It doesn’t disappoint at all, and can we just take a moment to appreciate David Tennent playing the “bad guy” perfectly once again.
