A modern-day tale of making a fortune in the world of West Texas oil rigs. A Landman, at least one who works in the petroleum industry, will act as a go-between for exploration companies and landowners.
Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases so they can drill for oil and gas
The Landman’s job is usually to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners who have mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, housing for workers (man camps), assemble the earthmoving equipment, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also part repairman, part problem solver, and part facilitator. I have to start by saying that I am a huge fan of almost everything Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, The Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, 1883, Tulsa King, Lioness, Sicario, Hell or Highwater, Wind River, etc etc).
This is another hit for Sheridan
She hits home run after home run, and Landman is no different. Landman is set in modern day Texas, where everyone from billionaires to roughnecks are trying to get rich in the oil industry.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a good new series, especially if you are a Taylor Sheridan fan
This series follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) as he tries to take his company to the top during the oil boom.
